I'm tired of Lex Luthor as the key villain in most of the past Superman movies.
Now it looks like ZOD will return as the next villain for the December 2012 movie.
Why?
Can writers do nothing but rehash previous movie villains? Do they not know how many better villains are out there?
Darkseid or Brainiac would have been my two obvious choices as superior villains.

I'm with you.
ReplyDeleteSuppose they really have a slam-bang top notch script for the new Superman film. I mean really Good. An excellent story and plenty of action...For some reason, I can't work up any enthusiasm for this movie even if I knew it was going to be a real action packed thrill ride. Why is this?
Zod and Ursa.
I can't get pumped over seeing a third incarnation of this character. And for a reboot, these two characters aren't a good choice for a Superman film that is supposed to make everyone forget about Superman Returns.
If the rumors are true, Nolan and Snyder publicly lied. They said the new film had nothing to do with any previous film.
I'd say Zod and Ursa links it directly to what's been done before, even if it's a completely original take on the characters. YAWN
